NOTICIAS/ NEWS INTERNACIONAL published July 01, 2010 Reed Smith supports ‘See The Difference’ in the Launch of its new not-for-profit Website Reed Smith’s corporate team has supported ‘See The Difference’ with the recent launch its non-for-profit video site. The brand new not not-for-profit video site ‘See The Difference’ contains a diverse range of video projects from UK charities working at home and abroad. Visitors to the site can choose a charity project that means something to them, know exactly where their money is going and for the first time then ‘See The Difference’ they make through feedback that each charity has pledged to provide on every project See the Difference have partnered with Virgin Money Giving who operate the back end payment processing. This new idea is expected to have a significant impact on the way people donate to charities. Its aim is to raise donations of over £500m over the next five years. The team was led by Sakil Suleman and included Katalina Chin, Alun Jones, Cristin MacCann, Jon Pike, Eleanor Winslet and Tom Remington. Michael Skrein, Reed Smith’s CSR Partner - EMEA, commented: “See the Difference is a highly innovative and exciting venture. Reed Smith is delighted to have been involved from the outset and is proud of the work of Sakil Suleman and his team”. Sakil Suleman, lead partner on the matter, added: "This simple idea had a wide range of legal hurdles to clear and the Pro Bono Team contributed across the board to bring the idea to life and added to the enthusiasm and energy that has made the project a success. We were involved right from the start, including setting up the entity, dealing with all of the contractual documents for the website development, preparing the standard terms and website terms of use, dealing with the partnership agreement with Virgin and also helping on property and employment aspects. It's a terrific team at See the Difference and we look forward to continuing to support them as the site develops and becomes more established." Dominic Vallely, founder of See The Difference, commented: “See The Difference has a simple mission to create an online video platform for “making a difference” that inspires the next generation of givers by showing them the difference their individual contribution makes.
