NOTICIAS/ NEWS INTERNACIONAL published May 17, 2010 Norton Rose promotes 23 to Of Counsel and Special Counsel International legal practice Norton Rose Group is promoting eighteen to Of Counsel and five to Senior Counsel, the Australian equivalent. The new promotions took effect from 1 May 2010 and follow the recent announcement of eleven new partners. There are five promotions in both Australia and London, three in Paris, two each in Italy, Germany and Bahrain and one each in Hong Kong, Singapore, Warsaw and Amsterdam. Seven of the promotions are in dispute resolution, six in banking, six in corporate (including two in insurance), two in tax, one in real estate, and one in competition. Peter Martyr, CEO commented: “This is our fifth set of promotions to Of Counsel, but the first to include Australia and Special Counsel. The promotions highlight both the key strengths of our business and the strategic importance of international growth for Norton Rose Group. I would like to congratulate all eighteen Of Counsels and five Special Counsels who have been promoted”.
