Global law firm White & Case LLP announced today the promotion of associate Sean Wang to partner in its Global Project Finance Practice. Currently based in New York, Wang will relocate to Beijing in July. Wang specializes in cross-border project development and financing in the United States, Asia, the Middle East and other jurisdictions. He has advised on large-scale projects in the power, water, mining, oil and gas, petrochemicals, renewable energy and transportation industries. "Sean has played a significant role in a number of project finance deals for such clients as Saudi Aramco, Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority and government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, China Development Bank and BNP Paribas," said Art Scavone, head of White & Case's Global Project Finance Practice. "Sean is and will continue to be a key building block as we seek to grow our global oil and gas practice and ensure we have well-trained lawyers who can contribute to the long-term success of our China practice." Wang is a qualified lawyer in New York and China. He joined White & Case in 2001 after serving as company counsel at Rhodia in China, one of the world’s largest chemical companies.
