Linklaters' employment and incentives practice announces the election of Nicola Rabson to the partnership. Nicola is based in the firm's London office and has firmly established herself as a leading employment lawyer. In addition, Jérôme Cordier and Naiara Rodriguez-Escudero based in Paris and Madrid respectively, have been appointed as counsel. The promotions take effect on 1 May 2010. Michael Tepass, global head of Linklaters' employment practice, said: "Nicola's election as well as Naiara's and Jerome's appointments are indeed milestones for our European employment practice. Nicola has a proven track record in employment litigation and advisory work for major clients of the firm. That is what we aim for: being leading European employment lawyers." Nicola Rabson Nicola qualified in 2000, when she joined the firm’s employment practice. Nicola has extensive experience of advisory and contentious employment work including the use of alternative dispute resolution. She has coordinated and advised on large global projects in relation to redundancies and compensation reviews and has advised extensively on discrimination, terminations and appointments, issues surrounding restrictive covenants, general employee relation issues and the employment aspects of regulatory investigations. Jérôme Cordier Jérôme is a senior lawyer in the employment practice of Linklaters' Paris office. Jérôme acts in the following areas in particular: acquisitions and restructuring of companies, collective negotiations, collective or individual dismissals, departures of managers, employee shares schemes (including setting up and follow up of stock options plans on behalf of French and foreign companies), employee shares and incentive schemes, share capital increase reserved to employees, international social security regulations and expatriation matters. Naiara Rodriguez-Escudero Naiara Rodríguez-Escudero joined Linklaters in 2001 and has been leading its employment practice in Madrid since 2004. She has broad experience in providing legal advice to national and multinational companies in matters related to senior management, re-structuring processes, renegotiation of terms and conditions of employment, collective bargaining, mergers and acquisitions and incentives plans, combining her advisory role with the representation and defence of clients before the courts. Her work has been backed by Chambers’ legal directory, which has ranked her as a leading individual in the area of employment law in Spain.
