"These new partners are among the emerging generation of leaders cultivated within White & Case, reflecting our future as a truly global law firm," said Chairman Hugh Verrier. "Their election to partner underscores our commitment to serving our clients and further strengthening our global banking and Middle East practices." The new partners are: Zeeshan Ahmedani is based in Abu Dhabi and has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Zeeshan has extensive experience advising managers on the organization and establishment of US and international private investment funds, across jurisdictions, including hedge, private equity, real estate and distressed debt funds, as well as Shari'ah compliant funds. He is California law qualified and has worked in the Firm’s Palo Alto, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo offices. Jeremy Duffy has been named a partner in our Global Banking Practice. Based in London, Jeremy possesses a broad range of experience, focusing on cross-border senior and mezzanine acquisition finance, real estate finance and general banking. He regularly advises leading banks, sponsors and corporates in relation to complex European leveraged finance transactions, restructurings, general bank lending and high yield securities. Jeremy is English and Australian law qualified. Irina Nesvetova is based in Moscow and has been named a partner in our Global Banking Practice. She heads our Banking & Finance practice in our Moscow office. Irina is Russian law qualified with extensive experience advising on project and trade finance, acquisition finance, pre-export finance and asset-based financings. She regularly advises on large infrastructure project financings in Russia and the CIS, acting for multilateral lending and export credit agencies, commercial banks and large Russian companies. Irina has led our Moscow team on a number of innovative and ground-breaking deals, including the largest tenure project financing and the first-ever foreign sponsor-driven leveraged buy-out in Russia. Philip J. Power is based in Abu Dhabi and has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. A highly experienced M&A lawyer, Philip advises on complex acquisitions, disposals, investments and other corporate transactions. He has acted as a senior advisor in numerous mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions with responsibility for all aspects of the deal. Philip's transaction experience includes public and private company mergers, stock and asset sales and purchases, joint ventures, tender offers and representation of financial advisors. Philip also worked in the Firm's New York office, before transferring to Abu Dhabi. He is New York law qualified. Jonathan Weinberg is based in Prague and has been named a partner in our Global Banking Practice. He is head of our Central and Eastern Europe/CIS Banking & Finance practice and specializes in asset finance transactions and leveraged buy-outs across Western, Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Russia and other emerging markets in the region. Jonathan has extensive experience in a wide range of finance products, acting for lenders, equity sponsors and corporate borrowers on transactions including transport asset finance, trade and export finance, project finance, LBOs and hedge fund financings, as well as a range of structured finance transactions. He is English and Canadian (Ontario) law qualified.
