Linklaters has been named Law Firm of the Year at the European Venture Capital & Private Equity Journal (EVCJ) 2009 Awards, announced in the February edition of the Thomson Reuters publication. EVCJ said that Linklaters won the award for acting on 30 deals worth approximately US$8.88bn in 2009, including advising: Candover on the €1.2bn debt restructuring of portfolio company, Ferretti - one of the biggest private equity restructurings of the year
HgCapital on the acquisition of Goldshields, one of the most complex P2Ps of 2009 CVC on its acquisition of Post Danmark's stake in Belgian Post
China Investment Corporation on its minority investment into Apax Partners and its commitment to Apax's most recent buyout fund through an innovative sidecar structure.
