NOTICIAS/ NEWS INTERNACIONAL published FEBRUARY 19, 2010 Eversheds bolsters competition team with Slaughters hire International law firm Eversheds has appointed Timothy McIver to its competition team as senior associate. Tim joins the firm from Slaughter and May where he was involved in a wide range of matters before both the European Commission and UK authorities, particularly advising regulated industries in the communications, postal services, water and energy sectors, working in both London and Brussels. The move further strengthens Eversheds well regarded competition team which offers a full spectrum service across merger control, behavioural, state aid and regulatory advice. Head of Eversheds’ competition team, Ros Kellaway said of the hire: “Tim’s an immensely talented individual with considerable expertise in a number of competition areas that chime particularly well with our established energy and telecoms practices. Having experience of working within the M&A field also works particularly well with our growing presence in the City of London and brings a fresh perspective to the competition team.” Tim added: “Eversheds is a firm that challenges the status quo and is not afraid to tread new ground.
