Clifford Chance elects new Global Head of Tax, Pensions & Employment

Clifford Chance partners have elected David Harkness to serve a further term as the global leader of the firm's tax, pensions and employment practice, following an uncontested election. Harkness originally took on the role in 2006 and will commence his new four year term from 1 January 2010. He joined the firm in 1987 as a trainee and became a partner in 1996. David Childs, Global Managing Partner commented: "I would like to thank David for his successful stewardship of our industry-leading tax, pensions and employment practice to date, and look forward to working with him in his next term." David Harkness added: "I am delighted to have been re-elected to the role of global practice leader. Our tax, pensions and employment practice is integral to many of the complex national and international deals Clifford Chance advises on. Over the past four years, we have continued to grow in stature across our key markets.
