Denton Wilde Sapte LLP's partnership has voted to appoint London-based Corporate partner Martin Kitchen as the new Chairman, the firm announced today. Martin's three-year term as Chairman will commence on 7 February, when incumbent Chairman James Dallas steps down to concentrate on his role as head of the firm's energy practice in the Middle East. "James is a hard act to follow, but my intention is to build upon his achievements in developing our international network and fostering a real spirit of entrepreneurialism amongst the partnership," says Martin. Martin joined Denton Wilde Sapte in 1989 and specialises in advising multinational companies on cross-border corporate transactions. He was based in the Middle East from 1999 to 2001, where he was responsible for the growth of the regional practice, and acted as a member of the firm's Partnership Board from 2002 to 2005.
