Reaffirming the Firm's leading position in the technology sector, Olswang has advised Jamplant Limited ("Jamplant") on its acquisition of Kelkoo, the European online comparison site, from Yahoo!. Jamplant appointed Olswang following a competitive pitch. The Firm's significant e-commerce sector expertise and practical legal advice secured the lead role on the pan-European acquisition. Olswang advised Jamplant on all aspects of the corporate, tax and commercial elements of the deal, working with French firm, Lefevre Pelletier, in Paris, part of the Firm's best friend network, on French matters and other correspondents across Europe. Olswang Partner, Robert Bratby, who led the deal said, "We completed this deal in a very challenging timeframe. With the backing of the Firm's sector knowledge we were able to offer an intelligent perspective on industry issues and identify what was material for this transaction.
