has
advised
Dubai-based
Lamprell
plc,
a

of

to
the
international
oil
and
gas
industry,
on
its
admission
to
the
London
Stock
Exchange’s
main
market
for
listed
securities
(“the
Main
Market”).
Freshfields
previously
advised
Lamprell
on
its
admission
to
London’s
AIM
market
in
October
2006,
the
first
London
IPO
by a
company
based
in
the
United
Arab
Emirates.
It
is
expected
that
Lamprell’s
admission
to
the
Main
Market
will
become
effective
and
that
dealings
on
the
Main
Market
will
commence
at
8.00am

Speaking
about
the
transaction,
Bruce
Embley
said:
“We
are
very
pleased
to
have
advised
Lamprell
on
its
step-up
from
AIM
to
the
main
market.
One
of
the
interesting
aspects
of
this
project
was
ensuring
the
client
met
its
legal
responsibilities
in
both
the
UK
and
the
UAE,
and
to
this
end
we
were
able
to
draw
on
the
extensive
expertise
of
our
capital
markets
teams
in
the
Middle
East,
which
continues
to
carry
out
ground-breaking
work
in
the
MENA
region.”
